HydroTrail™ Application Guide for Pest Control Technicians

Product Overview

HydroTrail™ is a specially formulated liquid designed to direct foraging termites toward termite stations, enhancing the effectiveness of termite systems. This product is applied to soil using a backpack sprayer or a wheeled cart sprayer.

By guiding termites to stations, HydroTrail™ improves the performance of termite systems.

NOTE: HydroTrail™ is not a termiticide and is not regulated as a pesticide by the EPA under FIFRA

Application Equipment

HydroTrail™ requires equipment capable of soil application, such as:

  • Backpack Sprayer: For smaller treatment zones
  • Wheeled Cart Sprayer: For larger treatment zones

Important: Sprayers used for pesticide application should be cleaned to remove pesticide residues before use.

How to Apply HydroTrail™

1. Site Preparation

  • Identify the location of termite stations and termite foraging areas.
  • Remove debris or obstructions that may interfere with application.

2. Mix HydroTrail™ with Water

  • Mix 80 ml of HydroTrail™ with 1 gallon of water in your sprayer.

  • Agitate for 1 minute to mix well.

3. Apply HydroTrail™ to Soil Surface (No Trench Digging Needed)

  • Spray the Mixture in a 2- to 4-inch-wide band on the soil surface to connect termite stations. • Use 1 gallon per 50 linear feet.

  • If necessary, apply water to move the product from vegetation to soil surface.

  • Apply evenly to ensure absorption—avoid puddling or excessive runoff. HydroTrail™ should soak into the soil, not puddle.

  • Spray around obstacles like trees, rocks, or fences to keep stations connected.

  • Reapply every 3 months for continued effectiveness.

Post-Application Care

  • Allow the treated soil to absorb HydroTrail™ naturally.

  • Do not disturb the area after application.

  • Monitor stations regularly for increased termite activity.
